This clothes rack called ‘‘chopstick‘‘ is a filigree and minimalistic product designed by the german designer-duo kaschkasch.
As the name suggests the rack is inspired by the gesture of chopsticks. The v-shaped bended metaltubes build the frames for the rack.
They are connected with the wooden bottom and the wooden clothes rail. Chopstick is constructed as a flatpack product – you can dispatch and store it space saving. Due to the wheels you can move it wherever you want. Chopstick clothes rack is designed for many different spaces, like bedrooms, bathrooms, entrance areas and also dressing rooms.
The design studio kaschkasch was established in 2011 by Florian Kallus (1983) and Sebastian Schneider (1985).
Both trained cabinet makers met during studying product design in Münster, Germany.
kaschkasch works in the field of furniture, lighting, accessories and art direction for several international clients like Living Divani, Menu, Normann Copenhagen, Zeitraum, Schönbuch and others. The Designer-Duo always tries to achieve the maximum out of the minimum by breaking every idea down to its essential elements. Every piece has a little thing to discover that speaks of the designers’ love for details. Their work was immediately successful. They got nominated for the „German Design Award“ as best newcomers 2015 and won the „Interior Innovation Award“ two times.
