Inspired by COTTO's Glacier series, Studio WM has designed the 'Morning Dew' dressing table and stool that are created with the same soft lines presented in the bathroom collection. With its misty glaciers against the backdrop of a rising sun, the mountain scenery of the Swiss Alps is the inspiration of the design. The dressing table refers to this magical landscape with its layered components. Functional storage units are integrated in the surface of the table. When not in use, a frosted lid covers your beauty products and makeup with a diffused layer. Placed behind the fog, a quiet coloured glow is shining through. Subtle burrows sit under the frosted globes on the other side to store all you small, precious, personal items. The round mirror can be put under the desired angle and is provided with a light-emitting edgethat is controllable with a touch dimmer. 'Morning Dew' forms a playful and practical landscape to light up your bathroom, bedroom or hallway.
Wendy Legro and Maarten Collignon are the founders of Studio WM - a design studio based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The two started working together right after graduation at the Design Academy Eindhoven, as they discovered their different ways of approaching design complemented each other very well. Their creative drive comes from a shared passion for detail and aesthetics. Reflecting their ideas back and forth, ensures them to get the best out of each other and challenges them to be experimental in their approach to materials and techniques.
Their work varies from furniture to lighting, from scent diffusers to interactive mirrors. All with great attention to detail and an intuitive approach to the sensorial experience. Scent, touch and sound are in harmony with the physical product striving to create sensitive and poetical design.
Guided by all senses, Studio WM's mission is to create seemingly simple design that reflect the love that is put into them - and their details, for years to come.
